Fees and Conditions
Harmony Psychology is committed to value in service delivery, it is for this reason that session fees range from $120 to $200 per session for individuals, depending on which psychologist you see. In addition, the Harmony Psychology schedule of fees for group and couples sessions are determined by participant numbers and the length of sessions and typically range from between $50 - $150 per session per participant.
Harmony Psychology has set session rates significantly lower than the recommended rate established by the Australian Psychological Society.
Session fees may be further supported with health insurance rebates for those in a private health fund or Medicare rebates for clients with a Mental Health Care Plan provided by a Doctor or Psychiatrist (see Rebates section of this website).
Session Cancellation
Harmony Psychology is committed to supporting clients and we understand that some times unexpected challenges occur and sessions may need to be rescheduled.
Under normal circumstances if Harmony Psychology is provided adequate notice, sessions can be rescheduled at no cost to clients. It is important, however, to understand that session availability is limited and sessions cancelled without sufficient notice disadvantage clients who otherwise may have used that time. It is for this reason that Harmony Psychology subscribes to the guidelines established by the APS and reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee to clients for sessions that they fail to attend or cancel without sufficient notice. Sessions cancelled or not attended with 0-24 hours notice will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to a full session fee. Sessions cancelled with 24-48 hours notice will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% session fee. Sessions cancelled with 48-72 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 25% session fee.
Fees are payable at the time of session with cash or EFTPOS facilities.

Medicare Rebate
The Federal government initiative ‘Better Access to Mental Health’ provides Medicare rebates for Harmony Psychology clients who have a Mental Health Care Plan from their General Practitioner or Psychiatrist. Clients receive substantial rebates for each individual session (typically the first 12 sessions per year) and participation in group sessions if deemed appropriate treatment.
Obtaining a Mental Health Care Plan is now a simple procedure through your doctor and encouraged in support of clients general psychological well being.
Health Insurance Rebates
Many private health insurance companies will provide rebates for this psychological support. Harmony Psychology has taken steps to register with relevant insurance companies. Please check with your particular health insurance provide for specific details. Harmony Psychology can support clients to facilitate this process where applicable.
Federal and state governments also provide a range of potential services with potential subsidies for clients from particular groups including Veterans, their families and Victims of Crime.
